Overview

In an exponentially changing world, our education system is doing what it can to maintain pace, relevance and impart the skills required to prosper in the 21st century.

However, technology and business model innovation moves much quicker than the school system is capable of responding. As such, the very existence of jobs traditionally seen as ‘safe’ such as accounting is being questioned and today’s kids are facing an uncertain future in which they are likely to have several careers and up to 15 jobs.

Clearly, a capacity for personal reinvention and an ability to identify new business and personal growth opportunities will be of significant importance.

Help your children learn the basics of startup building. This 1 day masterclass will introduce your kids to these principles in a fun and interactive way and have them solving real problems. As part of the course, students will:

EXPLORE

Students are introduced to the concept of entrepreneurship and start-ups and they learn to distinguish between entrepreneurs, employees, and other professionals. At the end of this module, students understand which traits, attitudes, and actions are at the core of successful entrepreneurial activities.

CREATE

Students to the concept of creativity and to methods of how ideas can be created individually or in groups, and how the best ideas can be selected. At the end of this module, students will create and choose their own ideas, which they will further explore in the following module.

BUILD

Students learn how great ideas can be turned into winning businesses. Using a simplified version of the so-called "Business Model Canvas", our experienced mentors lead students through various stages in the development of a business concept.

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE

An overview to startups, startup development phases and startup ecosystems as the “factory” (or funnel).

Communicating from various stakeholders perspective – from entrepreneurs point of view, team members point of view, investor's perspective, government's perspective, operative support organization perspective for holistic view.

Understand what are the most important activities to focus on from each of these perspectives at each of the development phases.
